Is the lender responsible for paying the appraiser directly?

No,  The Loan Officers are able to collect payment at the point of sale.This fee is then sent to SouthEastern Evaluation.  Once the appraisal is completed, SEE then pays the appraiser.This eliminates appraisal fee accounting for the lender.
